Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 8:30 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (940) 222-4589. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is pddenton.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Denton is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Denton is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We had such a great experience at Pediatric Dentistry of Denton! I took my daughter in yesterday to have some dental work done, and everyone was absolutely wonderful. From the friendly and incredibly competent front desk staff to all of the dental assistants, we felt so well taken care of from start to finish. Dr. Rex was especially fantastic. He worked so quickly and efficiently and made the whole experience so easy and comfortable for my daughter and I. It was easy to trust him with her care. The office is lovely and welcoming, and you can tell they really care about their patients. I honestly can’t say enough good things about Dr. Rex and his entire team. So thankful we found them!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We absolutely loved our experience here! I brought all three of my girls in, and the entire staff was amazing from start to finish. They were quick, organized, and really on top of everything. Each of my girls was seen, everything was explained thoroughly, and treatment plans were put together right away for anything that needed to be addressed. The office was very clean and welcoming, and everyone we interacted with was so kind and professional. I really appreciated how thorough they were and never felt like we were being rushed through the appointment. It’s such a good feeling finding a pediatric dental office you feel comfortable trusting with your kids. We are very happy we made the switch and definitely recommend them! ❀️

I really like the dentist and staff. Dr Rex Gibson has a very warm and welcoming demeanor. I have 0 issues with anyone or anything that we have experienced!! I just wanted to write a review so other parents could make an informed decision. My daughter has an extensive amount of work that needs to be done and we were quoted that she needs to be put under anesthesia for the procedure which I do fully agree with. I have private insurance and Medicaid but our treatment plan revealed that anesthesia is not covered at all. $1025 out of pocket. My insurance says I should only have to pay $80 per 15 minutes and Medicaid said it should be covered 100% if medically necessary. I called multiple other practices that will use my insurance benefits to cover the entire cost so I will be going elsewhere. Make sure you’re checking your benefits before paying out of pocket for something that should be covered.

The staff is AMAZING! Dr Rex is amazing! It’s a non judgmental zone, and I think is a huge plus, they have an orthodontist there! They’re very very quick! I have 4 kids. We were in and out in an hour and a halfπŸ’œ

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this dental office. My daughter has been a patient here for about 10 years, so I expected better communication and consideration for long-time patients. I arrived for her scheduled appointment only to be told that it had been cancelled because I did not confirm the appointment via phone after receiving a call from the office. What makes this even more frustrating is that no one communicated that the appointment had been cancelled. In fact, I received a text message just two hours before the appointment reminding me of the upcoming visit, which reasonably led me to believe the appointment was still scheduled. Taking time away from work and coordinating schedules to make appointments is not easy, and it was incredibly frustrating to arrive and discover that my daughter’s appointment had been cancelled without any notification. For a practice that values patient care and loyalty, I would expect clearer communication and a more patient-friendly approach, especially for families who have been with the office for a decade. I hope the office reviews its scheduling and communication processes so other families do not experience th
